Food Manufacturing and Microbiology


The Food Manufacturing and Microbiology program is being offered for the first time at Palestinian universities. It aims to develop students' theoretical and practical skills in the fields of food health and safety, food processing methods, preservation techniques, as well as the study of microorganisms related to food.
The program grants a bachelor's degree upon completion of 135 credit hours, with a focus on equipping students with the necessary knowledge to ensure the quality and safety of food products.

The curriculum includes a range of theoretical and practical courses in food science and microbiology, in addition to courses in food safety and quality. The detailed curriculum can be viewed on the university's website.


To join the program, the following requirements must be met:

  1. A high school diploma (Bagrut or Tawjihi) according to the requirements of each specialty.

  2. Achieving the minimum required grade:
    Food Manufacturing and Microbiology - 70%.


To register at Al-Zaytouna University – Baka Path, the following documents must be submitted:

  • The original high school diploma.

  • A copy of the personal ID (front and back).

  • Other required documents according to the admission procedures.


Number of in-person teaching days: 3 days a week.
Location of meetings:

  • At Al-Zaytouna University (in-person).

  • At Baqa College (in-person via Zoom).
    Transportation is available through Baqa College.
